Maine’s Kid Safe Products Act
In Maine, we led the 2008 campaign that passed a first-in-the-nation law to protect children’s health by requiring safer alternatives to priority chemicals of high concern in consumer products.

Fixing Our Broken Chemical Safety System
Our government has failed to ensure the safety of the products you see on the shelves when you shop for your family. They’ve allow industry to use dangerous or untested chemicals in everyday goods and services.

Overhauling the Federal Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976 (TSCA)
More than thirty years ago, some 62,000 chemicals in everyday use were ‘grandfathered’ in with no mandatory health and safety testing or restrictions on use. Under the federal law known as TSCA, the US EPA has required only 200 chemicals be tested and restricted some uses of only 5 chemicals!
