Overhauling the Federal Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976 (TSCA)
More than thirty years ago, some 62,000 chemicals in everyday use were ‘grandfathered’ in with no mandatory health and safety testing or restrictions on use. Under the federal law known as TSCA, the US EPA has required only 200 chemicals be tested and restricted some uses of only 5 chemicals!
